About Me
My name is Mark Jeschke (pronounced like "Jet-Ski," but without the "T").
I'm a rich media developer, interactive designer, motion graphics animator, musician, movie buff, and best friend. Over the past 10 years, I have worked for companies such as Yahoo!, Oracle, Symantec, and Excite.
I live in Pleasant Hill, California with my wife, Amy. We met at Dylan's open mic music night in 2004 and tied the knot in August of 2008. Our son, Julien, was born at 12:47am on January 16th, 2011.
I, on the other hand, was born in 1973 in Saigon, Vietnam, and adopted at the age of 1. While growing up, I spent numerous hours drawing, painting, rocking out on my guitar, and composing music. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, in 1995, with my main instrument being guitar. I quickly learned Flash and web design, because the music studio I was interning at needed a web site. I picked up some books and the rest is history.
In 2008, I decided to a break from the web so that I could learn how to do visual effects for film. Later that year, I was hired to do match moving and rotoscoping at The Orphanage, on a John Woo movie called, "Red Cliff." You can rent it from Netflix or play it instantly from your TV.
In 1989, I was in an international Pepsi commercial that was shot at the Paramount Theater in Oakland.
